The Executive Department consists of the City Manager, City Recorder's office, Recreation and Citizen Involvement/Volunteer Coordination programs.

The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to manage the daily business of the City, to inform the City Council about legislative issues, fiscal matters, capital improvements, and City policies, and to implement policies and plans adopted by the City Council.

The City Recorder acts as the Council's and Administrator's secretary, prepares records of proceedings during City Council meetings, and serves as the City's Election Official.
