Police Department Facility
COMMUNITY POLICE FACILITY
On November 2, 2010 Troutdale voters decided it was a civic priority to construct the proposed Community Police Facility by approving $7.5 million of dedicated property tax resources.
To honor the significant commitment made by the voters in approving the policy goal of the City Council to build a new police facility, a qualified Project Team is being assembled. The Project Team is limited to the Professional Construction Project Manager, Architectural & Engineering Design Services Professional, and the General Contractor. This team will be accountable to Police Chief Scott Anderson as the City Project Coordinator.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES
In December 2010 the City issued a RFP for Construction Project Management Services and received proposals from a number of well qualified firms. On February 10, 2011 the contract was awarded to Scope Project Management.
ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
The City is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from experienced architects to provide architectural and engineering design and construction contract administration services for a new Troutdale Community Police Facility at SW 2nd Street and SW Kendall Avenue.
In February 2011 the City issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for Architectural and Engineering Design Services for a new Troutdale Community Police Facility at SW 2nd Street and SW Kendall Avenue. The City received proposals from a number of well qualified firms and subsequently selected 3 firms best suited for the project. A detailed request for proposal (RFP) was issued to the 3 finalist firms to select the firm best qualified to complete the existing design. On May 12, 2011 the contract was awarded to HSR Master Planning and Architecture, LLC.
GENERAL CONTRACTOR
For the construction of the new Troutdale Community Police Facility the City has determined that the Construction Management (CM) alternative contracting method is in the best interest of the Public. In February 2011 the City Council granted the necessary exemption from standard contracting method to allow for the use of CM.
The City issued an RFP for CM Services in mid-May, which closed June 14, 2011. The City received proposals from a number of well qualified firms. On June 29, 2011 a notice of intent to award the contract to P & C Construction Co. was issued.
